FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Will any credit union services be unavailable for any time during the merger?
Our branches (PA Central and Blue Chip) will be closed on July 1st while the systems merge. Blue Chip will close at 4:30pm on Monday, June 30th and will re-open on Wednesday, July 2nd as PA Central FCU.
While we are merging systems, Online and Mobile banking will be down temporarily. Credit and Debit cards will remain active for members but you may experience limited access periodically throughout this process.
Will my online banking change?
Once the merger is complete, Blue Chip members will be able to access their accounts online via the PA Central website. Those members who use the mobile app will need to download the PA Central app on their devices. Your log in credentials will remain the same!
Can I still use my Blue Chip checks after the merger?
Yes! Your Blue Chip checks can still be used.
Will my account number change?
The majority of member account numbers will remain the same, with the exception of a select few that will need to be updated. Blue Chip will be contacting those members separately prior to July 1, 2025 with more information and assistance.
Will my Blue Chip debit and credit card(s) work after the merger?
Yes! Your Blue Chip credit and debit cards will work and will continue to work until your card expiration date.
If you would like, you can request a new PA Central Tap and Go debit and/or credit card from the PA Central Cards Department once the merger is completed.
How will I make my credit card payment?
Your Blue Chip VISA card will still work. However, you will no longer have the ability to see your credit card information and balance in the mobile app. For your convenience, a hyperlink to EZCard Payment Portal is located under the MORE option in the PA Central mobile app.
How will I make my loan payments?
You have options! You are able to continue making your loan payments the same way you have been, or you can take advantage of the payment options PA Central offers:
• Electronically through automatic ACH Payments
• Use E-ZPAY Online Payment Portal (convenience fee applies)
• Mail payments (loan coupons available for download from PA Central, or you can use your current Blue Chip coupons)
• Visit any branch to pay by cash or check
What will happen to my direct deposit?
Your ACH/payroll direct deposits will continue to be deposited into your accounts as they currently do today.
